Materials Used:
Blue & white card stock
Printed blue scrapbook paper (Designs of your choice)
Alphabet & Number stamps,Balloon stamp,Santa/snowman stamps & sentiment stamps
Light blue ribbon
Sharpie markers
Penguin Sticker
Snow Flake punch
Scissors
Glue

There is always a variety of alternative supplies if you don't have any of them :) So,no worries !! You can still create this card with available supplies.Get inspired and create your own :)
Step 1: Creating pop ups.Fold White card stock into half .For doing this ,score a line with bone folder and fold, by doing it this way you can avoid the paper getting cut.(Read this in a book, so thought I could share it ).Draw the lines  above the fold as shown in the picture below and cut through the vertical lines to create pop ups.

After making the cuts, open the card and push the cuts inside the card to look like below.

Step 2: Creating the front of the card.Take a blue card stock and place a piece of printed paper (about 10 cm ) and a ribbon running through the center of the paper and sticking it at the back as shown in the picture.

Step 3 :Stick the white card stock in the blue card stock with the centers meeting.
Step 4: Take another piece of patterned paper and stick it above the pop up if you don't want white background(Optional step).
Step 5:Stamp some balloons, colour it and stamp each letter in a single balloon ,so together they say "HAPPY NEW YEAR".I directly glued some and used foam adhesive for some to give pop up look.( If you don't want it to do this, you can just draw balloons with markers in the white background.)

Step 6: Add a strip of white card stock to the back of the photograph and 2014 stamped card piece and stick it to the small pop ups.

Step 7 : Creating snow.To do this, tear two sheets of paper randomly and ink the edges with grey marker or ink pad and glue it one above the other .The size of the snow sheet should be small enough to go through the large pop up.Carefully insert the snow through the large pop up and glue it.Also glue it on the other two pop ups of same length.

Step 8: Glue a Santa image or snowman or favorite character of the person whom you are going to send the card, in the large pop up.I used Stamped image of Santa for some and printed image of hamster for some cards. So choice is yours. If you don't get stamps ,take color print outs and cut it along the shape of the character and paste it :).Add some snow flakes here and there to complete the winter scene.

Step 9: Yes !!!! you have reached the final step.Cut a banner in a white card stock and stamp your sentiment in it.Make a zig-zag fold on both the sides and paste it on the ribbon to complete the card. I used some stickers to related with the sentiment but it is totally optional :) Voila !!!!!! you are now ready to send your personalized card to your loved ones.

Newspaper folder

Before I knew Michaels,AC Moore ,JoAnn craft stores all I was having is Newspaper and some packing tape. When i went to walmart i got some construction paper package for doing some paper flowers.I searched a folder to fit in the package but i could not find any big one that fits. Then striked a thought "When we can do it by ourself why to buy".And came up with the idea of making newspaper folder.
This is the paper package I explained above. To measure the size for the folder I took a newspaper and placed the package above to confirm the size with some ease at the sides.

Materials Required:
Newspaper
Scotch packing tape
Scissors
Snap buttons / velcro

Step 1 :
Take newspaper strips of length as required .Width of the strip should be approx 6 cm so that it should be easy to make a triple fold.By triple fold i mean, fold approx 1.5cm inwards from the both sides and fold it in half. The width of the final strip should be 1.5cm.
To make it easy ,first fold the strip in half to mark the center line and then make the inward folds .

Step 2 :
Arrange the stripes one after another and secure it the tape at the top.

Step 3 :
Flip the alternate strips(2,4,6,etc ) to the other side and insert a horizontal strip.

Step 4 :
Now flip the odd strips(1,3,5,etc) to the other side and insert a horizontal strip.
Step 5 :
Repeat step 3 & 4 to complete the sheet. It should look like the below.
Step 6 :
Cover the weaved sheet with the packing tape on both the sides. And trim the edges.

Step 7:
Prepare another sheet in the same way. This sheet should be little big than the above one, so that it can folded to act as a closing flap for the folder.Mark the areas of buttons /Velcro and add it.
Step 8 :
Place the sheets one above the other so that the smaller one is above the larger.Cover the sides with the packing tape.To embellish it , search for the colourful pages of the newspaper and cut out some shapes of your wish and place it on the front side(or wherever you wish) and seal it the packing tape.Hurray!!!Now your folder is ready to use.

Alternatively, you can also use colourful papers to make this folder and give it as a gift to your friends :).

Dairy Milk inspired Gift wrapping

Whatever the gift i would first like to wrap it with any normal paper or newspaper to give a perfect shape for it.
As i did not get the shiny violet gift wrapping paper I have used a blue construction paper to cover the gift .As we normally wrap the gift, this step is just that wrapping the gift and securing the ends with the wrapping tape.

Cut the ends with the zigzag scissors /pinking shears and staple or sew the ends to give that dairy milk wrapper effect.

Embellish the wrapper according to the occasion you are gifting.I painted with white acrylic paint ,as the same way DAIRY MILK is written.
Added some small hearts around to fill in the gap. That's it. Isn't it so simple ?
