DIY Embossed Christmas Ornaments

Last week, I shared this DIY Embroidery ornament using the wood burning tool. This week, are you ready to make another interesting ornament for your Christmas tree? It is so simple and easy to make. All you need is puffy paint, acrylic paint and of course a plain plastic or glass Christmas ornament. Let's see how.

Embossed Christmas ornaments using puffy paint

Materials Used:
A plastic plain Christmas Ornament
Puffy paint
Multi-surface acrylic paint
Marker(Optional)
Paint brush
Clothespin (Optional)

Step 1: Use a marker to draw your design on the ornament. This is an optional step. If you are confident enough you can skip this step and start with the next step directly.

Step 2: Use puffy paint to go over the design and allow it to dry. Remove the top part and use a clothespin to hold the ornament. Mount it on the edge of any basket to make the ornament stand straight while it dries. (Refer the video to see it in action)

Step 3: Once the puffy paint dries, apply three coats of acrylic paint over the entire ornament to create an embossed design look. I used Folkart Multi-surface paint and it took 3 coats of paint to get the opaque look but it may differ if you use normal acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry and your ornament is ready to hang on your Christmas tree. How easy was that ?
