Supplies for making the DIY photo frame:
- 4 big popsicle sticks and 4 small popsicle sticks
- Acrylic paint in yellow and black
- Paintbrush
- Black cardstock or foam for wheels
- White button or cardstock for the middle of the wheels
- Tacky glue
- 3 mini clothespin(optional) or washi tape to attach pictures
- Clear tape
- Permanent marker
- Scissors
Steps for making the School bus picture frame:
Step 1: Paint the all 6 popsicle/craft sticks(4 big + 2 small) in yellow acrylic paint and 2 small in black color acrylic paint and allow it to dry.
Step 2: Arrange the 4 small craft stick on one big yellow stick with 1" gap in between and glue them in place. Cut the remaining big craft stick with scissors and also trim the bottom of each small craft stick around an inch.
Step 3: Glue two big popsicle sticks horizontally with an 0.5" gap in between and by leaving 1" inch from the top craft stick.
Step 4: Glue the last yellow craft stick in the middle of the two craft sticks horizontally as shown below.
Step 5: Cut two circles on black cardstock for wheels. Glue a button in the center of the wheels and stick them on to the bottom craft stick to complete the craft stick school bus.
Step 6: Stick a piece of clear tape in the middle craft stick of the school bus picture frame to write the grade and the school year. We are using a clear tape so that you can change it easily by wiping off using an alcohol wipe or dip a paper towel in rubbing alcohol to clean the marker and write your new school year and grade.
2 ways to add pictures to the school bus frame
- Glue three mini clothespins to attach the pictures.
