Diwali - the festival of lights is always celebrated by lighting diyas around the home to celebrate the victory of Dharma over Dharma, light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. I personally love lighting the traditional oil lamp, but due to carpet/wood floors, fear of children knocking and spilling the oil, children touching the lit diya, etc. I always prefer LED candle for decorating around the house. Nowadays there are lot of different LED options like water activated diyas, floating candles, etc. I like to use different varieties at various locations around the house, and I am going to share them with you all.
You already have those white LED tealights. Decorate them with some sassy ribbon or washi tape to give a festive look. Use them to add festive vibes to your home. Planning to buy new ones, check these remote-controlled LED Tealights, cool right? You don't have to switch on/off every single one each day.
Already have diyas but don't want to use oil in them? Try these battery-operated LED party light bulbs
I have these beautiful lamps made out of brass, which my mom and friends gifted me, but I don't want to use oil as I feel it might spoil the look, and also have the fear of children touching the flame. So, I have some LED party light bulbs that I add in them to give a realistic flame-lit look without the fear. You just have to twist it to switch it off. These are perfect if you want to add them to the regular clay diyas.
Do you decorate Urli and love to add a festive touch? Floating candles are your best friend.
I love decorating Urli for the festival season and especially during spring and summer when the flowers are in full bloom in the garden. During Navratri and Diwali time, I always add some floating candles to the Urli during the evening to give an elevated look. I really love it when it is dark and the candle lights and the colorful flowers create a calm and serene look.
You don't want to compromise on the traditional clay diya look and the custom of lighting the diyas?
I feel you. Try these water-activated diyas, you get that festive touch of lighting each diya without the hassle of dipping the wick through the oil and using matchsticks. All you need to light this diya is drops of water. Try these water-activated diyas to add festive vibes without compromising tradition.
At the end of the day, you need to dump out the water and wipe the sensors before storing them. I hope you like these ideas for decorating your home this Diwali.

Great ideas! I also worry about open flames with kids around. The LED tealights with washi tape are such a simple but festive touch. I might try that this year! Though I am looking for Script 99 Noites na Floresta

ReplyDeleteLast Diwali I moved to Dubai. I remember I stood by the window on the fifteenth floor in Jumeirah, thinking how to handle an AED23000 rent, until I realized there was a simple scenario where www.rently-uae.com covers the whole year, and I repay monthly like a regular installment plan. How did it go technically? I uploaded everything from my phone, spent about twenty minutes, and received a tidy schedule of twelve payments plus a small commission fee. Would you choose this idea if you needed to rent?
