As this is the perfect time for Halloween, I am sharing this quick and easy pineapple costume I made for my 4-month-old son last year. Let's get to the details.

DIY Wire Pumpkin Candle Holder
Last time when I went to the craft stores, I was just going through the aisle to see what new products have come for the fall season. I came across the metal pumpkins with a candle holder and the price for those were crazy. No, I wasn't going to buy them anyway because I don't have a proper place to put them in my apartment but I was very much inspired by the look of those metal pumpkins that I wanted to make DIY version of them. Those pumpkins are of course made by soldering heavy metal parts but for the knock off I needed something that is easily bendable at the same time it should look good too. I found colorful floral wires from the dollar store and thought they will be perfect to make wire pumpkins with a candle holder. Let's see how.

DIY Emoji Pumpkins Window Clings
What if pumpkins expressed its emotions? This random thought struck me a few days ago which finally ended up in DIY Emoji Pumpkins Window clings. I love emoji's and I have already mentioned it in my how to make emoji coin purses post so, I combined my random thought and love for emoji into these emoji pumpkins. I tried two methods to make these window clings. One is using puffy paint and another one is using hot glue. Both the ideas are easy and perfect. So without much ado, let's get to the making.

I have been wanting to try my hands on making a wreath for a long time. I don't know what was stopping me. I even have a separate board on Pinterest where I pin all kind of Wreath ideas. I finally decided I had to try making one this fall and I did it. Let's see how.

Materials Used:
Hot glue gun
Glue dots(Optional)
Gold and yellow acrylic paint(Optional)
Cardboard (Optional)
Scissors
A small wire for hanging
Step 1: Use two glue dots to secure the end of the burlap ribbon to the wreath form at the back and start covering the wreath form. Make sure to overlap the ribbon every time you wind. Tighten and pull the ends to make the burlap ribbon fit snuggly to the wreath form. When you reach the end use two more glue dots to secure and trim off the ribbon.
Step 2: Bend a small wire to form a semi-circle. Bend a small portion at the ends perpendicular to the semi-circle and use a drop of hot glue at the ends. Poke them at the back of the wreath. This loop is used to hang the wreath. You can also use ribbon to hang the wreath.
Step 3: Take the pinecones and arrange them at the center of the wreath as shown. Use hot glue to glue them to the wreath.
Step 4: Now it is time to glue the burlap fall leaves to the wreath form. Take big leaves and arrange them in such a way to create a base layer, covering the whole wreath. Use a dot of hot glue to glue them. Then take small leaves and glue them covering the rest of the wreath. Use only dots of glue here and there to secure the leaves to give more organic look instead of a glued look.
Step 5: To enhance the beauty of the pinecones, I added a bit of gold paint to the edges of the pine cones. But it is totally up to you. Also, I made the letter "S" using DIY textured cardboard post I shared last week. Painted the "S" in the yellow acrylic paint and dry brushed gold paint to add more detail. You can leave it plain if you prefer. That's it. The fall wreath is now ready to hang on your door to welcome "FALL".
Here is how it looks without the letter "S"
What do you think of this Fall Wreath? I really love how this burlap fall leaves look. The gold paint on the edges of the pine cones adds an elegant touch to the wreath. Have you ever tried making a wreath? If not, you should. I really had fun making this and I hope my DIY fall wreath gave you the inspiration to make your own. Share your comments below. As always I will be happy to hear from you.

DIY Flameless Fire Pit
Creating fire pit inside the house for decorating purposes can be intimidating.Today I am sharing a simple idea to create a faux fire pit that anyone can make under few seconds with very few supplies.Let's see how.
Materials Used :
A Container (I got mine at thrift stores for a $1 )
LED Candles(I got at Michaels)
Glass Gems (I got at dollar tree)
Black Chalky Paint (Optional)
Foam Brush (Optional )
Double sided foam stickers (Optional)
Step 1: Paint the inside of the container black and allow it to dry. I used chalky finish black paint to give authentic fire pit look but it is totally up to you to decided whether or not to paint the inside of the container.
Step 2: Pour some gems into the container.
Step 3: Stick the double-sided foam sticker onto the base of the candles and stick them to the inside of the container as shown.Again you can just wiggle the candles into the gems to position instead of using double sided stickers.
Step 4: Pour the remaining gems on the top and your flameless fire pit is ready. How easy was that ?? You can add some Halloweeny items like spiders, skulls or even a skeleton hand peeking out of the fire pit to add extra pizzaz to the fire pit.
Hope you like this simple idea.Share with me in the comments below on how you would use this idea in your Halloween decor. As always I will be happy to hear from you. If you have an extra 30 seconds ,see the video below to have a look at the fire pit in action. This is my first ever youtube and I will be happy if you watch it and share your suggestions.Thank you :)
