Gift wrapping ideas for small gifts - DIY gift box - Triangle shaped gift box for small gifts

Are you wondering how to wrap small items this holiday season? Here I will show you how to wrap small items using a simple gift wrapping idea that is a triangle in shape and resembles a Christmas tree so it is perfect for this time of the year. Let's see how.

Materials Used :

  • Cardstock
  • Ruler
  • Scoring tool or anything that can be used as a scoring tool such as a spoon
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Ribbon
  • Any small gifts/cookies/candies of your choice to wrap

Step 1: Take a 6” X12” cardstock, I am using half of a 12” X 12” cardstock here. Fold it in half and crease.

Step 2: Then take the edges and mark the center point. You can do this by folding and pinching to mark the center point. Or use a ruler and pencil to mark it. Then, Use a ruler and a scoring tool to score from one side of the center to the middle point. Repeat the same on the other side of the center so that you get a triangle. Do the same on the other side of the cardstock.Fold along the scored line to form a triangle on both the sides

I am using the back of a spoon as a scoring tool. You can use anything like a spoon or a blunt end of a  wooden skewer that is not very sharp to score your cardstock.

Step 3: Use a hole punch to make holes. To do this, close the box so that the sides are together, then use a hole punch to one hole on each side.

Step 4: Place your gifts inside and thread the ribbon through the holes you made. Add a gift tag if desired, then make a knot and tie a bow to complete the wrapping. You can decorate the outside of wrapping using stickers, write a message using markers, etc.
